Sulla Luna e sulla Terra / fate largo ai sognatori!

Nuove date per Fotografia Europea! Dato l’evolversi della situazione sanitaria abbiamo pensato di spostare il festival più avanti, in primavera inoltrata, con qualche novità.

La sedicesima edizione del festival sarà quindi visitabile a partire dal 21 maggio e fino al 4 luglio e, per convivere al meglio con le restrizioni che ci accompagneranno ancora per i prossimi mesi, saranno allestite otto mostre open air.

Otto progetti di fotografi contemporanei creeranno altrettanti allestimenti unici in piazze e luoghi di Reggio Emilia, pensati ad hoc per una visione all’aperto, in modo da garantire la fruizione in qualsiasi condizione e a un pubblico ampio.
Una di queste sarà dedicata al vincitore dell’Open Call riservata a talenti emergenti, aperta da oggi fino al 22 febbraio 2021.

Ma le novità non finiscono qui, quest’anno la direzione artistica del festival si rinnova. Insieme a Walter Guadagnini saranno Diane Dufour (direttrice di Magnum Photos dal 2000 al 2007, fondatrice dello spazio espositivo parigino Le Bal e affezionata collaboratrice del festival dal 2015 al 2017) e Tim Clark (curatore e docente inglese, capo redattore di 1000 Words, uno dei principali magazine online di fotografia – da lui fondato nel 2008 – punto di riferimento per la cultura fotografica contemporanea) a selezionare tutte le proposte del Festival.

Vi aspettiamo dunque a Reggio Emilia per questa nuova edizione di Fotografia Europea, convinti che la fotografia possa aiutarci ad immaginare il futuro, producendo domande, sollevando dubbi e opinioni, conducendoci verso prospettive nuove e necessarie.

New dates for Fotografia Europea! Due to the evolving health situation, we have decided to postpone the festival, with a few changes.
The sixteenth edition of the festival will therefore be open from 21 May to 4 July and, in order to deal as best we can with the restrictions that will affect us for the next few months, we will set up eight open-air exhibitions.

Eight projects by contemporary photographers will create as many unique installations in squares and places in Reggio Emilia, designed ad hoc for outdoor viewing, so as to ensure fruition in all conditions and to a wide audience.
One of these will be dedicated to the winner of the Open Call reserved to emerging talents, open from today until 22 February 2021.

Moreover this year the artistic direction of the festival is renewed. Together with Walter Guadagnini, Diane Dufour (director of Magnum Photos from 2000 to 2007, founder of the Parisian exhibition space Le Bal and affectionate collaborator of the festival from 2015 to 2017) and Tim Clark (English curator and lecturer, editor-in-chief of 1000 Words, one of the main online photography magazines – which he founded in 2008 – a pint of reference for contemporary photographic culture) will select all the Festival’s proposals.
