1. I’m interested in seeing progressive fine art photography, strong documentary projects or video. I’m not interested in reviewing advertising or commercial photos.

2. I can offer critical feedback, advice on portfolio development as discovering young talents. I keep open for discussion.

Risposte di Carine Dolek

2. I am mostly interested in the work of emerging photographers, no matter their age. I can offer critical feedback, discussion and advice on participant’s works. Also, I am interested in discovering new talents for differents projects (gallery, magazine..)

Risposte di Deirdre MacKenna

1. That which has a clearly functional rational and generates an archive accessible by further researchers; I am concerned that the hard work of the majority of artists is lost in their archives, under-recognised and under-utilised.

2. I can discuss presentation and publication of photography and artists’ film in Europe (e.g. contexts, institutions and formats for virtual and physical publishing) and strategic planning of artists’ photographers’ projects; clarifying the aim of the project and approaches to reaching the right consumers.

Risposte di Fulvio Merlak

1. At Noorderlicht we are interested in seeing photographic stories that are based in reality. The narratives may go beyond the traditional documentary format, but it is their relevance to our society, their point of view on reality that makes whether Noorderlicht will be able to work with a project.

2. I will be able to give honest and clear feedback on the work that is shown to me. Also, I will be able to help identify partners and spaces that can help a project further.

Risposte di Margit Zuckriegl

1. I am always open for new ideas and convincing results, as long as they are based on a thorough research or inquiry. I like being surprised by innovative concepts and their adequate physical appearance. If “Seing. An infinite gaze” is the motto of this year’s Festival Fotografia Europea I tend to expect interesting new positions in the area of perceiving reality, dealing with the present and the past, checking the material of the media language in general.

2. In my field as a curator of photographic exhibitions and director of a major photographic collection of my country I am primarily interested in substantial, elaborated photographic or media work. I define my position in viewing portfolios not in the assistance on how a presentation should be shaped or designed, but in the valuation and critique of an already established body of work, a complex oeuvre and a clearly expressed visual strategy.
