Finalmente possiamo annunciare i vincitori di questa edizione ella nostra Open Call!

Fotografia Europea continua a promuovere la partecipazione di artisti e curatori nati o residenti in Europa aprendo una Call che li invita a presentare progetti relativi al tema dell’edizione.
Un appuntamento oramai consolidato che risponde ad una reale esigenza del mondo artistico contemporaneo, come dimostra la partecipazione da tutta Europa da parte di giovani artisti e non solo.

Anche quest’anno sono tantissimi i progetti arrivati e la giuria, composta da Maria Pia Bernardoni, Oliva Maria Rubio e diretta da Walter Guadagnini, dopo una lunga selezione ha individuato tre artisti. I progetti selezionati vanno così ad ampliare la visione del tema.

Ecco quindi i tre progetti che saranno esposti durante Fotografia Europea 2020, dal 17 Aprile al 24 Maggio:

• Atlas, Alessandra Baldoni (Italia) crea nuovi accostamenti che ridanno vita al rapporto tra passato e presente, tra storie e vissuti, tra natura e interiorità. Le immagini che organizza tra loro in dittici e trittici non sono trovate, bensì create

• Valparaiso di Francesco Merlini (Italia) mescola i ricordi del tempo trascorso in questa valle a sogni, incubi e visioni che la sua mente ha posto in questo luogo familiare e allo stesso tempo distante, attingendo a una sorta di realismo magico

• The Denial I – Family Portrait di Alexia Fiasco (Francia) è una serie di fiction documentaria onirica e senza tempo basata sulla misteriosa storia familiare di Fiasco

Questo è solo un piccolo accenno di quello che vedrete a Fotografia Europea 2020, vi aspettiamo per scoprire Fantasie. Narrazioni, regole, invenzioni, giornate inaugurali 17 – 19 aprile, mostre fino al 24 maggio, Reggio Emilia.

We can finally announce the winners of our Open Call!

Fotografia Europea continues to promote the participation of European or European-based artists and curators with a Call that invites them to submit photographic projects that creatively explore the theme of the year.

A consolidated event that answers to a real need of the contemporary art world, proved by the large participation that goes on every year from all over Europe.

Also this year there are so many projects arrived and the jury, composed by Maria Pia Bernardoni, Oliva Maria Rubio and chaired by Walter Guadagnini, made a long selection to find those projects that open the gaze of the theme.

The jury has chosen these projects which will be shown during Fotografia Europea 2020, from April 19 to May 24:

• Atlas by Alessandra Baldoni (Italy) creates new combinations that give life to the relationship between past and present, stories and experiences, nature and interiority. The images she organizes among themselves in diptychs and triptychs are not found, but created.
• Valparaiso by Francesco Merlini (Italy) mixes the memories of the time he spent in this valley with dreams, nightmares and vision that his mind has set in this familiar and at the same time distant place, drawing on a sort of magical realism
• The Denial I – Family Portrait by Alexia Fiasco (France) is dreamlike, timeless documentary fiction series based on Fiasco ‘s mysterious family story.

This is a little hint of what you will see at Fotografia Europea 2020. Inaugural days April 17 to 19, exhibitions until May 24, Reggio Emilia (Italy).
