Fotografia Europea 2025 – Being Twenty: Reggio Emily, Italy, 24 April – 8 June 2025

The Fotografia Europea 2025 Open Call is now accepting entries. Submit your project by 13 December 2024!

 

The Open Call is realised thanks to the support of Iren, already special sponsor of the festival, which supports the search for new talents and new looks on contemporary reality.

 

THEME
The theme is Being Twenty. Projects should explore the concept and reflect on what it means to be young today

 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
European or European based photographers, curators and collectives, of any age, with a project that explores the theme of this edition in a creative and original way.

 

DEADLINE
Applications will be accepted until 13 December 2024 at 1 pm (Rome time). The projects will be evaluated by a jury composed of the artistic direction of the festival and the winners will be announced by mid-January 2025.

 

WHY PARTICIPATE
Selected artists will receive a prize of €3,000 to create an exhibition that will become part of the official programme of Fotografia Europea 2025

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

 

Pay the registration fee of €25

 

Fill in the form attaching 5 to 10 images (max 10 MB total) and the receipt of payment

Check that you have received the confirmation email

THE COMMITMENTS OF THOSE SELECTED
– to guarantee the authorship of the execution and originality of the works;
– to follow the production of the exhibition in all its phases;
– take care of the transport of the works (round trip) and their packaging;
– providing, by the date set by the organisation, materials for the press office and for the exhibition catalogue.
– to provide, by the date set by the organisation, a plan for the exhibition set-up;
– to be present on the opening days, and to be available for guided tours and possible ‘meetings with the author’.

FESTIVAL COMMITMENTS
– to make available adequate exhibition space for the opening period of the exhibition;
– to provide for the set-up/dismantling of the exhibition, following the instructions of the artist/curator/colective;
– to provide insurance cover for the works (stock-only insurance) on the basis of the values declared by the artist/curator/collective;
– includes the exhibition in the communication tools promoting Fotografia Europea 2025 exhibitions.

Born in 2015 to give the possibility to deal with an international festival, our Call is now a consolidated appointment.

 

It’s an opportunity to increase visibility in Italy and not only: after Fotografia Europea exhibition, many artists have received important awards also abroad.

 

The Festival has always supported the public call and has always been committed to enhancing the winning projects with site-specific research, experimenting together with the artist.
