We build the house that will host your creations.
In this workshop we will create 8 dummies of different zines together, from imagination to practical realisation through folding, cutting and sewing.
This will give you a basis for creating your own zines, enriching them with photos, texts, illustrations or anything else you want to include.
The workshop will end with the creation of a small box containing all your zines, so you can take your complete kit home with you.

How can we tell stories about the spaces we live in, going beyond stereotypes? And how can photography help us to do this?
In this workshop, photographers Halima Gongo and Gertrude Malizeni – artists featured in the exhibition Women see many things – will guide us in a practical reflection on the spaces we inhabit and how we can transform them, freeing them from preconceptions and enriching them with new meanings.
We will learn to look at the world as we want to see it, through the lens of the camera.

Experiments with the ancient technique of cyanotype, an early photographic language that is simple to implement but rich in expressive possibilities and characteristically blue.
Originally used for herbs and scientific archives, it requires no equipment or acids, but can produce very detailed definitions and leaves a lot of room for imagination and creativity.
After making a few prints on paper, we will go on to make a few notebooks, using different papers and bindings, which will be just as simple, but will give us the opportunity to continue practising to make our own artist notebook and books in limited editions.
By the end of the workshop, everyone will have made their own absolutely unique prints and will have new pages to take home a little… blue.
