URBAN SOULS

FRIDAY 26 APRIL H 21.30 | PIAZZA PRAMPOLINI

THRU COLLECTED

Thru Collected is a group of independent artists founded in Naples during the Covid-19 pandemic. The collective combines music, sound production, event organization, graphic design and video production. Consisting of 12 members, it is considered one of the most interesting musical windows of the Italian alternative scene.
Thru Collected combines lyrics that recall the Italian singer-songwriter world with sounds characterized by deep contrasts: between post-emo and indie rock, hyperpop and d’n’b, passing through ambient and folk, with a keen eye on the encounter between played music and the future drifts of independent electronics.

CASINO ROYALE FEAT VENERUS

Casino Royale were born in 1987 in a post-punk Milan and overturned every point of reference within their sound contaminating themselves with contemporary evolutions of genres already present in their DNA, it was the time of ragga-hip hop, black rock and what is called cross over. Sound research, use of electronics, a sound never heard from an Italian band producing and creating simultaneously with an international scene not chasing the sound of the moment.
With this new lineup composed of veterans and new recruits, Casino Royale will be performing live again. As usual, the new songs from their latest EP Polaris influence in the arrangements the band’s classics that are re-proposed in a contemporary key.

SATURDAY 28 APRIL H 21.30 | PIAZZA SAN PROSPERO

ALDA

Alda Nebiu, known as ALDA, is an Albanian-Italian rapper and songwriter born in ’99. Born in Albania and raised in Pesaro, she was introduced to rap by her older brother and began writing her first songs at the age of 12, influenced mainly by first generation Italian rap, which was particularly lyrically focused.
In Alda’s rhymes, you can sense the urgency to unhinge the clichés of a genre often accused of celebrating a machismo out of time.

VENERUS DJSET

Andrea Venerus, known simply as Venerus (Milan, December 4, 1992), is an Italian singer-songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist, able to fully embody the “present” of urban pop and soul in Italy.

SUNDAY 28 APRIL H 17 | CAVALLERIZZA THEATER

MAX CASACCI & MARIASOLE BIANCO

DAL SUONO DELL’OCEANO AL RITMO DELLA CITTÀ

Science and the fight for the environment are combined with music in this show by Max Casacci and Mariasole Bianco.

Mariasole Bianco – marine biologist, science popularizer, face of the TV show Kilimanjaro and president of Worldrise, a non-profit organization for the protection of the marine environment – will talk about the mysteries and amazing curiosities of the great ocean over a carpet of natural sounds created by Max Casacci, a musician who has been working for years to transform into music and rhythm the noises and sound environments of nature and the metropolis.

After a first part dedicated to nature and the importance of the sea in our lives – “half of the oxygen we breathe, wherever we are, we owe it to the great ocean” – the music will grow in rhythmic intensity and you will find yourself dancing in full immersion among the urban sounds of everyday life. Transportation, street and work noises, sports, crowds, consumer markets and garbage disposal, to the voices of great celebrities, will be transformed into riffs, harmonies, drums and pulsating bass lines, all without the use of musical instruments. Just like Max Casacci‘s latest album Urban Groovescapes, which is dedicated to the urban environment of ideal sustainable cities.
