“A man cannot keep humanity at this speed; if he lives like a machine, he will be ruined. Bliss, certain slowness is in unbreakable connection with human’s life, as it is changing of seasons with plants, or with a child’s birth’’.

From the book by Ernesto Sabato’’ Resistance’’.

According to sociologist Sigmund Bauman “fluid life” and “fluid modernity” are in close connection. “Fluid life” is the life being led in the fluid, modern society.  “Fluid modernity” is a society in which living conditions are changing faster than needed in order to make ways of actions transformed into habits or routines. Fluidness of life and fluidness of society are mutually supporting each other. Fluid life, just as the fluid modern society – can’t keep the same form or direction for a long time. Works from the series Silent places, articulate my questioning of everyday life, identity, time and space in its fluidness, where development of technologies as an anthropological element, influences all aspects of a human’s life. Through scenes from everyday life, works from the series Silent places act strongly and sugestive by an absence of actions, reflecting to the observer’s eye as places of simplicity, melanholia, contemplation, silence, escape from the imposed contemporary way of living. By moving of the horizon of the view and focusing on absence of actions, I want to create a new action to the observer, subject in the gallery context, which will actualize to him the state of consciousness of the modern accelerated modern life and the possible parallel world that is in the process of disappearing.
