The Festival aims to strengthen its <strong>international focus, promote research, experimentation and new productions, broaden its dialogue with the city, and devise innovative forms of participation and engagement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim is to transform <em>Fotografia Europea<\/em> from a festival into a <strong>permanent cultural platform,<\/strong> capable of operating throughout the year through exhibitions, research, commissions, educational activities and projects shared with the local community, whilst maintaining the Festival itself as a central event with strong public appeal.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-4 fusion-text-no-margin\" style=\"--awb-margin-top:32PX;--awb-margin-bottom:1rem;\"><h3><strong>The role<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\"><p>The role involves the Artistic Direction of the 2027, 2028 and 2029 editions and includes, amongst other key activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>defining the Festival\u2019s concept and annual theme in collaboration with the organisers;<\/li>\n<li>selecting exhibition projects and curators;<\/li>\n<li>developing the Festival\u2019s curatorial vision and annual photography programme;<\/li>\n<li>collaborating on the development of the programme of interdisciplinary events;<\/li>\n<li>publicly presenting the Festival\u2019s editions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-6 fusion-text-no-margin\" style=\"--awb-margin-top:32PX;--awb-margin-bottom:1rem;\"><h3><strong>Who can apply<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-7\"><p>The selection process is open to individuals and curatorial collectives, including informal ones, with at least five years\u2019 experience in artistic direction, curatorship or similar roles, and with a good knowledge of English (knowledge of Italian is an advantage).<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-8 fusion-text-no-margin\" style=\"--awb-margin-top:32PX;--awb-margin-bottom:20PX;\"><h3><strong>Application<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-9\"><p>To apply, you must submit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae;<\/li>\n<li>a three-year plan (maximum 10 pages);<\/li>\n<li>the application form (Appendix A);<\/li>\n<li>a self-declaration (Appendix B).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application must outline an artistic proposal and a development strategy for the Festival, addressing issues such as international positioning, format innovation,
