class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p>Thierry Cohen \u00e8 stato uno dei primi fotografi francesi ad interessarsi alle nuove tecnologie, gi\u00e0 alla fine degli anni Ottanta, adottando rapidamente la pratica digitale ed esplorandone le capacit\u00e0. Ma soprattutto interrogandosi sull\u2019impatto della rivoluzione tecnologica sulla societ\u00e0, dalla sfera privata a quella pubblica.<\/p>\n<p>Il suo primo lavoro in questa direzione,\u00a0<i>Binary kids<\/i>, traduce visivamente l\u2019irruzione dei nuovi sistemi di pensiero e di comunicazione nelle nostre strutture mentali. Una serie di ritratti di bambini e adolescenti, rappresentanti emblematici della \u201cgenerazione internet\u201d, diventa il supporto di proiezioni di circuiti informatici e di componenti elettroniche.<\/p>\n<p>La plasticit\u00e0 dei ritratti, allusione alla pittura classica, contrasta con la freddezza dei disegni sovrapposti in filigrana, come dei misteriosi tatuaggi o dei merletti esoterici. Una sorta di allegoria della possessione dell\u2019attivit\u00e0 cerebrale che esprime le inquietudini e gli interrogativi sul potere dell\u2019intelligenza artificiale.<\/p>\n<p>Con la serie\u00a0<i>Darkened cities<\/i>, realizzata a partire dal 2011, Cohen affronta, sempre con la stessa originalit\u00e0 e il ricorso alle nuove tecnologie, la questione dell\u2019inquinamento luminoso nelle citt\u00e0 e della sua influenza sulla percezione. Attraverso un procedimento, ancora una volta di sovrapposizione di due realt\u00e0, Cohen mostra la volta stellare, al di sopra delle megalopoli, come realmente \u00e9, pur essendo invisibile.<\/p>\n<p>Viste panoramiche di grande respiro o\u00a0<i>close up<\/i>\u00a0vertiginosi nel cuore di citt\u00e0 sprofondate nel buio, le sue immagini sono di una potente bellezza e di una grande magia. Con un procedimento estremamente complesso, dopo aver spento ogni luce artificiale e operato la trasposizione, al di sopra di New York, Rio, Shanghai, Hong Kong o Parigi, di cieli fotografati alla stessa latitudine ma in spazi aperti e deserti, Cohen crea un black out e un effetto di spaesamento assoluto. Poi dal buio, sotto cieli disseminati di stelle, emergono profili di citt\u00e0 riconoscibili da una geografia o da building inconfondibili. Vive e lavora a Parigi.<\/p>\n<p>Dal 2006 dedica gran parte del suo tempo al lavoro individuale. Nel 2008, con la serie <em>Binary Kids, <\/em>analizza sia il futuro delle nuovi generazioni alle prese con internet e le tecnologie digitali, sia l\u2019origine e le conseguenze dello sviluppo. Dal 2010, dalle metropoli ai deserti, lavora principalmente per ottenere risultati significativi: <em>Darkened Cities<\/em> intende sensibilizzare il pubblico sul problema dell\u2019inquinamento
