Il risultato \u00e8 una serie astratta di riflessioni soggettive.\u00a0<em>Ile de beaut\u00e8<\/em>\u00a0\u00e8 permeata di immagini del paese di nascita di Leccia in\u00a0<strong>Corsica<\/strong>, del traghetto che naviga in quei luoghi e di immagini girate in\u00a0<strong>Giappone<\/strong>. L\u2019eclettica colonna sonora \u2013 prevalentemente costituita da musica pop francese realizzata al sintetizzatore \u2013 ha un effetto molto impressionante, sia a primo impatto che come musica di sottofondo. Le immagini della Corsica (nota anche come\u00a0<em>Ile de beaut\u00e9<\/em>) sono spesso girate da un\u2019auto in corsa. Questi margini non indicano pi\u00f9 soltanto l\u2019inesplorato, l\u2019ignoto, l\u2019invisibile, l\u2019inimmaginabile, ma la possibilit\u00e0 stessa dell\u2019<strong>esistenza di un mondo senza pi\u00f9 uomo<\/strong>\u00a0e, d\u2019altra parte, dell\u2019invenzione da parte dell\u2019uomo di\u00a0<strong>un mondo che non rimanda pi\u00f9 alla natura<\/strong>. Queste possibilit\u00e0, a loro volta, possono essere percepite come\u00a0<strong>pericoli<\/strong>, quello ecologico della distruzione della natura e dell\u2019autodistruzione della specie umana o quello dell\u2019euforia della \u201ctecnica\u201d che ha come contraltare la solitudine dell\u2019essere umano di fronte al mondo. E ancora: a volte desideriamo di vivere in una natura incontaminata e deserta, sogno di un ricominciamento impossibile, mentre al tempo stesso stiamo costruendo un mondo completamente modellato sul virtuale e sull\u2019immaginario, con una natura altrettanto virtuale e immaginaria.<\/p>\n<p>Infine, d\u2019altro canto, perch\u00e9 le cose siano o vadano cos\u00ec c\u2019\u00e8 sempre un motivo, quindi la riflessione sui casi limite interroga anche sul punto in cui siamo. La mostra vuole proporre tali questioni per immagini, attraverso esempi che mettano il pubblico nella condizione di interrogarsi sulla sua posizione nei loro confronti.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019idea generale \u00e8 sempre quella di usare la fotografia non come documento e rappresentazione, bens\u00ec di sfruttare le sue\u00a0<strong>possibilit\u00e0 interrogative e suggestive<\/strong>. Insegna dal 1985 al 1997 all\u2019\u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts di Grenoble e successivamente all\u2019\u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Beaux-Arts di Cergy-Pontoise per poi diventare Direttore del Pavillon Unit\u00e9 P\u00e9dagogique al Palais de Tokyo di Parigi. Negli anni Ottanta espone soprattutto sculture e installazioni, che chiama \u201carrangements\u201d, ma continua sempre anche la sua produzione di video e film. Dagli anni Novanta si moltiplicano le presentazioni dei suoi video, spesso allestiti in spettacolari installazioni ad hoc.<\/p>\n<p>Numerose le mostre personali e la partecipazione alla pi\u00f9 importanti manifestazioni d\u2019arte contemporanea quali, la Biennale di Venezia, 1986; Skulptur Projekte a M\u00fcnster, 1987; Documenta 8 a Kassel, 1987; Biennale di Sydney, 1990. Numerose le mostre personali in gallerie private e spazi pubblici, tra cui Pacifique al Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Moderne de la Ville di Parigi nel 1997 e Ange Leccia et le Pavillon al Mus\u00e9e Bourdelle di Parigi nel 2009. Mostre monografiche a lui dedicate si sono svolte nel 2013 al Museo di arte contemporanea di Val-de-Marne e nel 2014 al Palais a Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e8 una delle artiste pi\u00f9 riconosciute degli ultimi decenni. La sua fama si \u00e8 estesa negli anni \u201990, grazie alla partecipazione ad alcune importanti biennali (Venezia, Berlino, Lione, Tirana, Busan), mostre di rilievo (tra cui Documenta XII e Manifesta II) ed il conseguimento, nel 2002, del Prix Marcel Duchamp. A partire dal 1997 si dedica avideo e cinema con una particolare attenzione all\u2019immagine della citt\u00e0, aprendo il suo sguardo dagli interni verso l\u2019esterno e concentrandosi su di una personale idea di \u201cexoturisme\u201d e di modernit\u00e0 tropicale. I film di Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster sono giochi di costruzione nei quali intervengono \u201csensazioni di cinema\u201d e dove lo spettatore\/personaggio gioca un ruolo centrale, con la sua memoria, la sua esperienza e il suo passato.
