arriva a Palazzo Magnani in anteprima nazionale dopo le tappe europee di\u00a0<strong>Arles<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0<strong>Bruxelles<\/strong>, indaga un aspetto meno noto della produzione di Walker Evans, ponendo l\u2019accento\u00a0<strong>sulle immagini che ha pubblicato nelle riviste americane<\/strong>\u00a0di grande diffusione a partire dal 1929.<\/p>\n<p>Nel corso di questa esperienza, Evans sviluppa un metodo e una poetica basati su una stretta\u00a0<strong>connessione e complementariet\u00e0 tra immagini e testi<\/strong>. A differenza di molti fotografi, infatti, Walker Evans non lavorava per i magazine solo come fotografo, ma seguiva tutto il processo che conduceva alla pubblicazione delle sue immagini. Era lui stesso spesso a scegliere il tema, a scrivere i testi, selezionava le foto e lavorava all\u2019impaginazione. Nel corso di quasi quattro decenni Evans ha utilizzato la pagina della rivista popolare per produrre un \u201c<strong><em>contro-commento<\/em><\/strong>\u201d alla societ\u00e0 americana e ai suoi valori.
