reddito in Uganda<\/strong>.<br \/>\nLe cavallette migrano in massa due volte l\u2019anno, subito dopo le due stagioni delle piogge. Enormi sciami riempiono il cielo poco prima dell\u2019alba. Cos\u00ec, notte dopo notte durante questa stagione, molti ugandesi stanno alzati fino all\u2019alba\u00a0<strong>per catturare queste creature<\/strong>. L\u2019onnipresenza dei lucenti insetti verdastri tra la nebbia notturna e il fumo dei fal\u00f2 sommerge l\u2019intero paese in un\u2019atmosfera ultraterrena, un effetto etereo creato dal curioso armamentario coinvolto, in particolare dagli strumenti e le trappole utilizzate. Raffiche di attivit\u00e0 frenetiche si alternano a lunghi periodi di attesa e speranza.<\/p>\n<p>Dato il loro alto contenuto proteico, le cavallette rimangono una promettente fonte di cibo per il futuro, secondo\u00a0<strong>UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO),<\/strong>\u00a0che sottolinea; \u201cse pi\u00f9 persone aggiungessero insetti commestibili alla loro dieta, ci\u00f2 potrebbe ridurre la fame nel mondo e migliorare la sicurezza alimentare\u201d. Tuttavia, la\u00a0<strong>deforestazione<\/strong>\u00a0ha decimato le popolazioni di insetti negli ultimi anni e alcune specie di cavallette sono ora gravemente minacciate. A peggiorare le cose, le piogge in Africa stanno diventando sempre meno prevedibili a causa del cambiamento climatico e la raccolta di questi insetti dipende interamente dalle tempistiche climatiche del luogo.<\/p>\n<p>Un\u2019attivit\u00e0 al confine tra passato e futuro, tradizione e modernizzazione, all\u2019interno di un linguaggio visivo altamente suggestivo. Ha documentato la vita notturna della capitale ugandese,\u00a0Kampala, tra il 2012 e il 2015.\u00a0Questo progetto \u00e8 diventato un libro intitolato\u00a0<em>Fuck it<\/em>, pubblicato da Edition Patrick Frey\u00a0nel marzo 2016, considerato tra i migliori libri fotografici del 2016 da Time Magazine,\u00a0Internazionale, Sleek-Mag e Photo-book store UK.<br \/>\nIl suo secondo libro,\u00a0<em>NSENENE<\/em>, \u00e8 stato pubblicato nel 2021 da Edition Patrick Frey ed \u00e8\u00a0stato menzionato su Zeit magazine, M magazine, The New York Times e We Present. \u00c8\u00a0stato
